Caboose Project

Iron Spike volunteers are in the process of restoring a former Frisco caboose. Once restored, the caboose will become the model train repair shop. With more working space, we should be able to serve our customers in a more timely manner.

Make a DVD of Your Run

Eventually, Iron Spike Model Train Museum will offer you the option to make a DVD of your engine's run on the track. Since runs could last up to an hour, this is a perfect way to commemorate your time at the Museum! When you are ready to make your run and video, check with us regarding this feature.

Build Your Own Railroad Layout

With the goal of having more than 25,000 visitors per year, Iron Spike Model Train Museum is constantly looking for new and exciting opportunities for visitors. The current plan is to eventually offer workshops where you and your family can learn how to build layouts, as well as learn about standard railroad safety.

Enjoy Eating in a Life-Size Dining Car

Would you like to see a life-size dining car? Eventually, Iron Spike Model Train Museum will feature one that we hope will be operated as a restaurant. You'll also be able to shop at our hobby store - another future project.
