REQUIRED MINIMUM DISTRIBUTION. If you are over 72 and have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), you must annually withdraw an RMD. RMDs are typically reported as taxable income. A gift to Iron Spike made directly from your IRA can be counted toward your RMD, lowering your gross income.
